I was going to write about the new Trent Reznor (and trophy wife, shemale Mariqueen) venture “How to Destroy Angels” but someone else beat me to it. Please go read the blog reviewing HTDA, cleverly titled How To Destroy Insomnia HERE. It`s awesome and says pretty much all I wanted to say.
Good reading :)

God is an Astronaut Gig at ICA London, Feb 17th

I must start by praising the venue. The ICA is a small but hip place for a gig. The door staff were marvellous and I thank the lack of queue for those in the band`s guest list. Also worth a mention is that drinks aren’t overpriced like on most of London`s bars/venues. So, all in all I recommend you pay the ICA a visit.

Now for the supporting bands: The first was I Concur (who supported GiaA November 08 – for that review click HERE and scroll down). I personally like them and their performance (although I arrived two songs to the end) was a good one. The second band was Butterfly Explosion. They are on the UK/Ir GiaA tour. They were a good supporting act but personally I wouldn’t go see them. Don’t take me wrong, I did enjoy some of their music but they left me with a sense that they are still trying to find their ground, their niche, their genre. The tunes which had no vocals were the best ones. No point trying to sing when you cant or when the music isn’t improved by it. I also failed to see the actual role of the female eye candy keyboard/backing vocals apart from the already mentioned “eye candy”. Still, its a band worth keeping an eye out for.

Now for the main act: God is an Astronaut were brilliant. As tight as a rat`s ass from start to finish. Could have done with the volume 1 or 2 notches up and Torsten`s mic was a tad too low but that said I don’t blame the band, I blame the sound engineers (always blame the sound guy, lol). Nice to see Niels head banging like a possessed lunatic while playing magnificently. How he does that and doesn’t lose balance I don’t quite know. As for the drums…well…and forgive me for using the term again but “as tight as a rats ass”!

So, all in all a WIN gig. I look forward to their return to London next November. And a last word: If you haven’t seen GiaA live yet, DO IT! Also watch out for their new album.

The following is information I received a while ago regarding the #Eric campaign:

I tracked the IP address (removed due to censorship) for “Storey Dreams Foundation” which is actually lifegiversfoundation.org – it is registered under domainsbyproxy.com, a service specifically used to “hide” any registrant details – in other words, a way to be anonymous. The statistics of the site are so little, that it barely has any info. In the last three months, 7.1% have visited the site through a search engine (which is only Veronica De La Cruz’s site). Also, it should be mentioned that this not a foundation that Veronica turned to, she made the foundation and from my perspective, it would seem that the money went to her rather than to any registered charity. Top keywords used to search this site: (in this order)
lifegiver project
eric de la cruz
tim storey nin
“eric de la cruz (note: there is no quotation at the end of this)
“storey dreams foundation”
“tim storey” “trent reznor”

Daily percentage of traffic is less than 0.00002% of all traffic, ranking the site as # 4,268,872. AND…
it appears that the site is only registered for one year and it was created 15 May 09.

I don’t know if that clears anything up for you regarding where the donated money went to…to me sounds like Veronica has it. Also, it should be noted that I have a screen shot that suggests that the donation is tax-exempt

Kind of seems fishy in all, considering has anyone received a receipt for their donation? How badly does it hurt those who donated when the family used the transplant funds to pay for Eric’s funeral? How would NINtards react to that info when they were told by TrentGod that the money would be going to others who are in of a transplant?…sheeple! Jeesh!

Personally I think this raises more questions than it answers. Questions which have been asked directly to Veronica and duly ignored.

Why Veronica not clarifying and answering the questions posed to her? Surely as a journalist she can see why this is of public interest and should be the first to want and practice “transparency” of information. Were there receipts issued to those who donated? How come no one seems to be able to produce a screecap of such receipts? Why contract the services/help of a marketing company director? Why was it implied that the donations would be tax exempt and doesn’t appear to be so? What was the total amount of donations? How much of it was spent on Eric during his life? Are there receipts/accounts? If so, why are these not being made public? How much of the money was spent on his funeral? How much of it is still left (if any)? Why is the money which is claimed to be left from caring for Eric being turned over to a Beverly Hills televangelist? Is it fair on those who donated and aren’t religious to have their money now used by what some have described as “fundamentalist Christians”? Who approached saint Trent Reznor and asked for his backing? What is his actual involvement with the fund? Has he ever met any of the De La Cruz? Did he know or bother to visit Eric? Questions questions and more questions…and no forthcoming answers

Last but by no means least, let it be known to the readers and to Mr.Reznor that this blog wasnt going to be published but due to the relentless TRolling & the free publicity these NINtards created lately, it would be a shame not to spin it my way. So again, Thanks to the NINtarded psychofans for all the threats & harassement…I carry on BECAUSE of YOU

Lifetime of anti-rejection meds post transplant can exceed the surgery cost-why not put unused funds into a trust for that-why Tim Storey? Why not give the money to National Transplant Assistance Fund?

NOTE – I have been asked what is my angle and what I hope to achieve with this blog. The answer is simple: I want transparency, answers to the questions.

I had, have and will always have a problem with rich people helping other rich people with poor people`s money

UPDATE 11/01/10 VIA Wren1123 on http://wavegoodbye.foren-city.de/viewtopic.php?p=1962#1962 – Sure smells fishy to me

This might not mean anything, but I just noticed: http://veronicadelacruzonline.com/ domain expired 12-11-09 on GoDaddy.com
http://www.lifegiversfoundation.org/ domain is registered till 5-15-10 also from GoDaddy.com but hasn’t been updated since 9-9-09.
http://blog.weloveeric.com/ Other than linking the Glamour Mag(Nov. issue) to the site the most recent entry is 9-1-09. Something is so not Kosher here. I check in on these sites every couple of months now. I just would have thought with all the healthcare reform debate over the holidays more would have been done. Hell I expected at least some new entry because most charities ramp up their efforts during the holiday season.

Oh dear oh dear…Our “champ” has done it AGAIN.

After days TRolling on Twitter using several accounts, Trent Reznor went on his own website and posted yet another long-winded rant about how misunderstood he is and how I am the sole reason for his all problems. Yes, he has actually named me as the reason he left Twitter…no mention that Twitter approached him and asked him to kindly tone down and in true prima donna style he throws a hissy fit and deletes his account.

So, when he isn’t moaning to Rolling Stone and getting bashed by ex-fans for his now notorious foot-in-mouth suicide tips for cutters, our drama queen is playing the victim to his NINtards. Anyway, I won’t post a link to his rant because I refuse to give his website any airtime.

Bla bla bla boring bla…..

Twitter: Yes, I deleted my account and I’ll explain why since somehow someone apparently thinks this is newsworthy.
Twitter seemed like an interesting way to quickly reach a large number of people, and people that seem to exist outside of the nin.com world of fans. For a while, I found it useful to read replies and get a sense of what people are thinking / saying, and this worked well for a while. As I’ve mentioned in other letters, the key to understanding your audience / fan-base is to engage them and understand them. The results of me doing this with NIN include the way we sell tickets on nin.com, the way we’ve distributed the last records, the multitracks available for free download for you to remix, the Creative Commons licensing, the open camera / recording policy for live shows, no fan-club fees, the tour music samplers, the open design of nin.com, etc etc etc. I could keep going because pretty much everything we’ve been doing with NIN lately has been based upon what you as an audience think would be a cool way to do it.
Most of these policies and approaches have nothing to do with Twitter, but it was another tool to see what people think about things and get feedback.
Then… around the time news broke of my engagement, a faction of troublemakers showed up whose sole intent was to disrupt, harass, insult and incite. Let me explain to you why simply blocking on Twitter was not a solution. If you are interested in someone on Twitter, you can follow their updates. I’ve noticed however many people want to see the replies that user gets to have a sense of a thread of information / thoughts. You do this by searching the user’s name you’re interested in. When I started getting relentlessly reply spammed by these few individuals with harassment ranging from hoping I overdose to calling my fiancee racist slurs hundreds of times a day, YES – I could (and did) block them, but everyone else reading my replies sees ALL of that nonsense. So, I am providing a platform for this rubbish to be broadcast to my fanbase, which I am not going to participate in. I discussed this with some friends at Twitter who acknowledged the problem with a “yeah, um, we’re thinking about doing something about that – people are complaining” response. Not good enough. As I’ve said, Twitter’s interests lie in getting the most users and hype possible, then cash in for the big sale – and fair enough, they’ve come up with an interesting product.
Last night, I had the pleasure of trying to explain this message to an understandably upset Veronica De La Cruz:
@AndreaUrbanFox someone got balls at last! Hey, can I have some of that #Eric money? The dude’s dead, he doesn’t need it lol
Really?

She saw this message because anything with the #Eric hashtag appears on weloveeric.com. I tried to explain to her this person is just a lonely, obsessed, delusional, bitter “fan” who recently posted how the celebrity she’d most like to date is ME. She spends countless hours a day obsessing over me, my fiancee and NIN resorting to ANYTHING for attention. In a reasonably moderated community, these people can be made to vanish – on Twitter, it’s a free-for-all – hence they flock there. It depresses me to think my art and life’s work can attract this kind of scum, and trying to explain to Veronica why someone would stoop to that level of ignorance for attention – and it’s someone that because of me is in her world causing her pain… well, it sucks. If that was your intention you trolling, cowardly pigs – you’ve succeeded.

Do note how His Holiness fails to mention it was an RT (ReTweet) which means I was just reposting what someone else said AND it was already an RT by yet another person. How convenient huh? Even more convenient is that he also fails to mention the said RT was dropped by HIM using HIS own TRolling account. How can one be sure it is his account? Cos a DM (Direct Message) with a bit. link was sent to him and the dumbass clicked on it which led straight to him, in France at the time.

So, what better way to get back at me then to summon his NINtarded minions and try to entice them AGAIN to go fight his fights for him. Yes, Reznor we see through you and now your fans are starting to see too :-P

Also note how he uses Veronica…pull those heart strings why don’t you? We all know he used the Eric thing to take attention off his shambolic engagement to someone he “picked up” from Twitter and after 2 weeks proposed to. Why not use the same strategy now?

Let me be clear about something here, I do NOT apologize for asking to see the accounts for the Eric fund (still not made public) and for questioning where the rest of it is going. There have been a lot more direct questions asked by others such as why donations ($1,200) to the #Eric Fund through NIN are NOT tax deductable and why not have that explained before soliciting donations…but as it wasn’t me asking no reason for TR to get upset huh?

Lets face it, if I`m obsessed by TR as he seems to think I am, the same can be said for him who still follows me on Blip.fm, still reads my tweets and blogs….

Final note from me to Trent Reznor HERE

The vanishing RT

The vanishing RT

The following is a letter to NIN`s Trent Reznor by a former fan. This former fan passed this on to me in hope TR will read it as he seems to have read my blogs in the past. I was also asked to publish this anonymously because the person who wrote it doesnt want the kind of psychotic TRolling by NINtards that I get. Fair enough.

Let it be known I wasnt going to blog this until next monday. But due to the recent amount of attention and free promo a few psychotic NINtards have generated, I thought I might as well use it to my advantage. Call it “spin”. So as much as I have no time for these NINtards and their hero worship, I have to now thank them for hype being created by their pre-pubescent TRolling. Couldnt have worked out better for me :-)

NOTE: I wrote this before Trent Reznor & Mariqueen deleted their accounts so any Twitter references can be ignored.

Dear Mr Reznor,

I still think you’re a big fat douche bag. And your actions / behavior sure have proved that. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not going to throw out insults every other sentence (however much you rightfully deserve them) because I’m going to be the bigger, more mature person.

As much as I never wanted to get involved in all the drama around you lately, well, let’s just say it’s a change of mind. You treat your fans like shit when they don’t agree with you, just like you call them out on Twitter or nin.com for voicing their opinions. And what about the suspension of REAL people’s accounts because they don’t kiss your, or Mariqueen’s ass? Harassment? Some of them, most likely. But all of them? No. If that’s the case, then your account should be suspended as well for violating the Twitter TOS. Because you’ve done plenty of harassing towards others. Giving out Angela’s location? That alone should have been enough reason for your account to be suspended. You might not have directly given out her address, but anyone with half a brain would know they can easily search her name in ‘Worcester, MA’ and it would be given to them. “blocksunday” is also a fucking joke. And others (I’m not going to give out names because, I’m not going to bring more unnecessary shit to them) were and still are so fucking right about you.

But what really made me turn away from not only you but nin was your suicide tip. So again, YOU’RE A BIG FAT DOUCHE BAG. It doesn’t matter not only to me, but a lot of others who you directed that at, because it was universal in every sense of the word. Telling someone to cut along the length of vein, not across. Bigger payoff. Fucked up move, regardless of how pissed you are, when there’s always that chance that your fans on nin.com have been in a situation where they thought that was their only option. Yes, I’m talking about myself here, for for a much more serious reason. But of course, you don’t give a shit. And the obvious reason is that in your apology over at nin.com, you never once mentioned that part of your post. Only your reason why you used the word ‘plump’ and your feelings on said persons. So apparently, you don’t care how hurtful (not to mention wrong) that comment was and you don’t care about your fans. You care about the money they put in your pocket, and that’s all.

And while I’m still on the suicide tip / encouragement, it sickens me to know I was apart of a fan base where people actually thought it was FUNNY! What sickens me even more is that some of the people I read those comments from were people whom I thought seemed like interesting fun people. So in conclusion to that, I feel I have every RIGHT to be personally insulted and to take that personally. But maybe, maybe that’s because I had PMed you thanking you for your music saving my life and what happened to me when I was a teenager and thought suicide was my only option (even if my method was different from cutting along the length of vein). And reading that (again, I must express ‘regardless of who it was aimed towards’) from someone you looked up to so incredibly much is a hurtful thing. Oh wait, it’s not like you give a shit so I don’t know why I mentioned that.

You need to get your shit straight, and frankly I don’t care how much you want to out me on twitter and call me a cunt and every other name under the sun, because you do. Just because you’re in love doesn’t give you the right to lash out at the people who made you and act like a total prick. Because when your engagement / marriage doesn’t work out, you’re not going to get sympathy from a lot of people and they won’t feel bad for you in the least. As for me, I’m as stubborn as they come, and will probably just shake my head saying “I knew it”. I used to be a huge fan who would support / defend you but from now on, never again. Then again, I never knew just how you really were.

And by the way, the excuse of ‘trolls’ pissing you off about Mariqueen and you soooo badly, is getting old. I would think that a man as intelligent as yourself (or what I thought anyway) would realize that the way to STOP IT (sans lashing out at fans, telling them to kill themselves) is to SHUT THE FUCK UP about it. You learned your lesson and you STILL talk about the two of you. Because you love the attention and being about to spout whatever at people? Yes. Don’t you think it’s just a bit ironic that after you “leave” Twitter because of the people who fucked it for you (when really, it was yourself who fucked it up) and then come back, you decide to throw out how the two of you are such an ‘unstoppable force’? Apparently, because in some sick way you love the shit you’re getting. Stop being a drama queen, Trent, it doesn’t go well at all with a man of your age. If anything, it makes you look incredibly lame and like a fucking baby.

And Trent, I must state the obvious:

1) I am NOT / was never jealous / pissed over your engagement.
2) I am NOT jealous of Mariqueen marrying you.
3) And I most certainly never WANTED to bang you.

Why would I be jealous or pissed if someone else is genuinely happy? Everyone deserves happiness, although you seem more hateful now than anything. Not happy, not in love.

I pretty much hate all men (you’re no exception), so why would I be jealous?

Again, refer to the second part of this. As hard as you might find it to believe, not everyone wants to get in your pants.

And as far as Mariqueen is concerned? Judging her based on the way she presents herself online, if I ever saw you and her (or just you) on the street, I’d still say that she seems like an immature, ignorant insensitive bitch. And, I’d be perfectly prepared for you to punch me in the face or my “tits”. Actually, I think that would be quite humorous. After all, I am just giving my opinion which you should understand. I mean, you’ve been doing enough of it lately.

But I’ve wasted enough time and energy on you (which I’m going to kick myself in the ass for doing later I’m sure) so I’m ending this here. You’re really not worth it, but giving my opinion was.

DISCLAIMER:

My opinions, my thoughts. Disagree? Good for you, I’m not asking anyone to agree with what I’ve said. And I’m certainly not going to sit back and not stand up when I feel the need to.

So, Trent Reznor falls onstage at NIN`s London O2 gig? *flashback* I seem to remember him almost falling at Southside festival but it was raining, I thought to myself, he could have just slipped on wet floor….

“Gotta be done… It must be done…Must post pic…”

With these and other thoughts racing through my head I`ve decided to ask the question on everybody`s mind: Was he drinking? Is he having a breakdown? Was he high on something else? Was it his massive weight making him unsteady on his feet? Or is he simply mimicking his own career, even if on a subconscious level?

To be honest, all I wanted was a reason, an excuse this photo of him falling because it made me ROFLMFAO!

MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Who sucks now plump c*nt?

overpriced gigs/festivals

Have the artists and the people putting on gigs/festivals all got shit for brains? Are they so up their own arses that they havent noticed a global recession? The unemployment figures? Even the current suicide rate? Where do they get off charging like £15 quid or so to go to a dodgy venue to see 3 or 4 unsigned bands?(thinking of Borderline,London) How about some old codger who hit fame in the 60s/70s charging in excess of £70 quid to go see him spit out some dusty dated material (thinking Rick Wakeman forthcoming “gig” in London) What about this summer`s festivals across the UK? Well over £150 Pounds for 2 days (not including the transport to/from, camping. food, drugs/alcohol or whatever it is you`re in to, etc) to go sit in a muddy field with a bunch of spotty teens while some dot size figures try to sing over the screams of demented fans? (thinking NIN aka Trent Reznor)

Well, I hope my anger doesnt subside until I finish doing the relevant research because I fancy ripping apart this money grabbing mother f*cking bastards aka big name bands and festivals.

MEW/NIN Gig – July 9th 2009

Mew

Mew

Another day, another gig. This time it’s in Luxembourg.

I had no expectations of the venue but I must say I was surprised to see it wasn’t all that big. My guess would be a 5k capacity tops. But then I reminded myself of where I was and let’s be honest, Luxembourg is tiny! With that in mind it came as a surprise to me that the venue wasn’t packed. My estimate would be that it was at half of its capacity, if that! During the gig one could easily walk around from side to side and as you’ll see by the photos, one was able to get very close to the stage. So, it wasn’t a sold out gig. Hmm…

As it normally happens when I go to NIN gigs, I was expecting the usual depressed and/or angry teens, some older Goths, the always present emo crowd and the typical arse licking psychofans. But not here! People looked pretty non-descript and lots of smiling faces everywhere. This confused me somewhat and got me thinking…Has Trent Reznor`s friendly advice to cutters on how better to do it for bigger pay-offs has finally had an impact and diminished his fan base?

Let us move on to what matters: Mew. For those of you who don’t know Mew, they are a 5 piece alternative prog-rockish band from Copenhagen and have been around for 15yrs or so. Mew has seen members come and go and their style has evolved (like it should) but they always had a very distinctive sound which they like to describe as “pretentious arty rock”.

Mew’s set was very good. Not once did they drop the ball. They were and looked very professional, passionate and as though they were having a good time, not to mention they were as tight as a rat’s arse. The punters obviously picked up on that because everybody (after their gig) was in total awe of them. My personal opinion is that their set was too short. We could have all done with a few more tunes from them. All in all Mew is full of WIN

Not sure if there were technical difficulties or if TR couldn’t find the right shade of black T-shirt to wear but NIN had us waiting for about 45 minutes. Obviously by then the punters were not amused and started to get restless, to boo and whistle…Pretty much like what happened at Southside festival in Germany minus the cold & rain.

So after the long wait NIN finally showed up. With not a single word to the crowd, NIN played song after song, like they were doing a 9 to 5 job. Reznor looked even more tired than he has done recently and was doing his part of the “routine”, nothing more. Once again he was a let down as a showman and most disappointing of all, as a singer. This “bad vibe” he so strongly transmitted to us must have been picked up but the rest of the band because they all seemed a bit bored.

Having said that, bored or not the rest of the band delivered what was expected of them. They are extremely good musicians. To me the obvious centre stage, the one who carries NIN on his back is Robin Finck. The dude is just bloody awesome! Hard not to ask oneself what Robin could/would achieve if he had a band of his own. He is front-man material, he can sing (and hit the notes) and is just an amazing bundle of pure energy combined with incredible talent and feeling. WIN to Robin Finck and the rest of the band (minus Fatznor)

Going quickly back to the gig as a whole, I recall Reznor mumbling “thank you” once but even that wasn’t audible. I am positive those present would have appreciated a bit more than a mumbled, almost begrudging “thank you”. It is possible he could have mumbled something else and I just didn’t hear it because apart from paying a lot more attention to the others onstage, I can also almost completely block out Reznor`s voice. He also seemed a bit pissed off because the audience wasn’t as quiet as he obviously had wished for during the last song (Hurt) and there was no encore. So, again, Reznor was/is FAIL in my books.
